Hello all,

Does anyone know of any freeware Windows 10 software (or something that will run in Windows 10) that will control a Yaesu FRG-9600 receiver? I have one and I'd like to use it, but I'd prefer to program it with a PC, if possible.

Thanks!

Thread bump:

You might check out ScanCAT Gold. Unless you have an older dedicated PC that runs XP, you'll have to run it in a VM but IIRC it supports the -9600.

You'd be hard pushed to find a computer running BASIC these days.
Tandy model 100/102 and 200, for starters.

Several of them here. They work just fine for their intended purpose and can control most things with a serial port...assuming the owner is up for a little coding.

Whilst I haven't tried it yet due to waiting for my cable to be delivered, CubicSDR features rig control and will control the FRG 100, 8800 and 9600 radios. It is cross platform and can be found here . It also supports a whole host of other radios so my be a good choice for many of the legacy platforms that are no longer served by their original software.
