Yaesu: Yaesu FT 100d microphone

I have a yaesu FT 100d I got off of eBay. The microphone is in horrible shape. I need a replacement mic,but want to make sure I got the right one. I have looked in HRO and not sure if I can use the same mic as the ones they have. I have also looked in eBay ,I would like to get a replacement ASAP.

The manual lists MH-36 and MH-42 depending on the transceiver version. Don't know what the difference is.

If it's just the cable, and not the mic, there are replacement cables available on eBay and elsewhere. It's a two minute fix as the cable has a connector on the end that goes into the mic which just plugs in.

I used to have a 100D back in the day and it’s a fantastic radio.It’s RJ45-RJ45.

This will fit. It doesn’t sat FT-100 but it is still the correct cable.

SORRY, Ijust realised that you wanted just the mic. Check the Bay or Heil sound but he is a little exspensive.

1 is DTMF, the other doesn’t have DTMF.

Yes and I’m sure MFJ would have something with the correct mic plug. Check there online catalogue. HRO also sells MFJ. (Who doesn’t.)

I found a original YAESU MH-36 DTMF FT-100D new mic. I’ve dealt with Aliexpress b4, there good, and money back guarantee. You’ll find cheaper NO NAME MH-36 mic’s about quarter of the price on Aliedexpress. There both made in China and besides that I don’t know the difference.
