Yaesu FT-1D dtmf issue

My FT-1D and at least other two I used has a strange DTMF issue:
in vhf (every mode) when pressing the button to activate tone a little static noise i reproduced from the speaker
in uhf the noise is so high that is impossible to hear the tones.
Fortunatly the dtmf tones are trasmitted clear without any noise.
The issue is not Always present, but most times.
My firmware version is the last (2.0) and the other radio I used had earlier fw version.
Anyone knows about the problem and if Yaesu has been consulted?

I tested my FT-1D (v2.04 firmware) and did notice some faint static pops while
sending DTMF tones on UHF, but they were faint. VHF exhibited no unusual static at
all.

I tried a couple of different antennas and the static was worse with the stock antenna
than a long wire aftermarket whip. RFI is probably causing the static issue.

This is a known issue from YAESU; they have a fix but you must send it to them in California for repair.
