My FT-400DR will not move past the boot screen on powering up. I have tried removing all power completely and power back up but It will not move past the boot screen. No updates have been done for awhile and there is no hard reset of the radio that I can find until I can get past the boot up process. Anyone have any experience with this issue and a fix? I fear I may need to send it back to Yaesu.....

If you've tried everything else with no success, before you send it back for repair I think I might try to reload the firmware to see if that helps. Since the FTM400 must be manually set to an update state (internal switch) prior to loading the firmware, it might work.

Would that be the Yaesu 'splash' with your callsign at the bottom?
I don't believe that the 400 is as dependent on the SD card as a Uniden scanner for startup. If you have an SD card installed take it out and see if you get past the boot screen.
