Ok first question i picked up a arrow 2m 146-4 yagi and it doesn't have a built in handle.
I do have a mounting clamp to put it on a master but im wondering if I use the clamp and mount it to a pvc pipe if it will cause interference l. Also if this will work were is best place to mount to?

On second question.
I know my ft60 is dual band but something I been wonder but can't find a answer to...
Long as it is duel band do I program the 220 and 770 meters in the memory program in and it will switch as necessary or do I need to separate the vhf from uhf in the banks?

Perhaps sell your Arrow and purchase an Elk Log Periodic. The Elk will handle both bands the FT60 offers, 2 m VHF and 70 cm UHF, no problem. The Elk even comes with a handle. That Arrow model you have only handles two meters (144-148 MHz). If you only plan on using it for 2m, then you're fine.

I'm not sure I understand your second question. The radio can have whatever frequency that it covers in whatever bank you want. They (VHF/UHF) can be together or separate. When you change the frequency, it will switch to whatever you have programmed in.

The Arrow i bought for fox hunting.
Im just wondering if I mount a piece of pvc for a handle rather then try to grab it by the beam itself if it would be a better option

The FT60
What I'm trying to figure out is as im scanning through the memory channels will it recognize
(ok this is UHF and switch to that/ok this is vhf switch back) as fast as its scanning or do I need to set it to a bank of vhf separate freq to scan and another uhf freq bank to scan.
Easy way to look at it is if I have a vhf vhf vhf UHF vhf freq in my memory scan is it skipping over the UHF in between or will it pick up traffic on that one UHF in the middle there.
Hope that makes sense now

Folks, let's not do this. Threads with multiple questions/issues become very confusing.

@mtand73 Please start another thread in the Amateur Radio Antennas forum with your antenna questions.
