Yaesu FT-8800 With D Star Accessory

I just found out that there is an accessory D Star module that will work with the Yaesu FT-8800. Has anybody here tried this yet?

News to me. Yaesu and Kenwood both have refused to get into D-Star. Do you have a part number or something?

The dstar module can be added to any radio that has a built in 9600buadthe packet connector. I cant remember what the module is called, but i will look for it and post it unless someone beats me to it.

DUTCH*Star DV-1 Digital Voice Module

Its not what you think... Its for creating a NODE. All this allows you to do is turn your radio into a D-Star to Analog node so that you can talk with say your HT to your 8800 or similar radio and then to the internet.

There are now a ton of GMSK adapters that turn analog radios into DV-capable radios and nodes, and do several other things. We'll need a little bit more information to determine which one you're speaking of.
