Hi everyone! Working on getting my tech license, and decided to pick up a Yaesu Ft1000D, got it for a steal and I see why now. Problem I'm having is I have no TX on the main or sub VFO, On any freq's or any mode whatsoever. Have done a bit of digging into it visually, and I do not see anything out of the ordinary other than it looks like a Final was replaced at one time possibly as it has one odd brand final compared to the other 3. Another odd thing ontop of no TX is the unit receives fine but the meter does not move when selected to any position. Perhaps that has something to do with the TX issue and I'm overlooking something? It has had hands inside it as it has been mar's modded and I noted some of the case screws were cross threaded. The S/N if it helps is 90290064 or 0290064 Hard for me to read with my eyes. I'd appreciate any advise or tips and tricks on this battleship of a radio! Thank you to everyone in advanced!

That’s where you might want to start. I have a Yaesu 1000MP that isn’t transmitting and is showing 9 volts VCC. Although I haven’t had the time to work on it, I suspect the issue is with its internal power supply.
Now would that affect the meter not working on any setting do you know? It doesn’t respond even when receiving stations that should be s7-s8 on any setting. So with that I don’t know if I truly have no voltage on VCC or not.

So I made a touch of progress. It keys up, but no power on tx. I checked the two transistors on the PA Board and the group of mosfet’s directly above it on my model. And from what I can tell everything looks good on my meter. I have 30v unkeyed & keyed going to the PA board, but only 4v on my bias when keyed up. And it’s making it to the PA board. I did notice that the RX/TX relay on the LPF board doesn’t seem to be switching. Which I will add I jumped the RX/TX relay to eliminate it & still had zero TX power, with the relay bypassed.
