Yaesu: Yaesu FTdx-101MP Interfacing with the SCS PTC ProII Modem

Despite having the correct controller cable connected to the computer via a RS-232C adapter to USB converter, and the cable between the modem and the radio, I still cannot key the radio's PTT using any of the software, but can see the local communications modes and data being sent only locally and on the network.

Anyone who has the FT-1o1 series and had interfaced to an external modem, please provide me some insite as to how you lucky got both to talk.

I have the same issue with the FTDX10 and the ptc-IIpro............another paper weight i guess

Have you guys contacted SCS, Farallon, or the Winlink folks to see if they have any ideas?

neither have an idea but it works with the ft991a (wont change frequencies though ) refusus to work with the ftdx10...............im at a loss it calls for the same cables

Ah problem fixed as I stupidly did not set the radio's menu to the correct PTT port - more coffee !!!

I bought a used Icom IC-7100 from a guy who claimed he couldn't get it to work on sound card modes like FT8. I knew that the radio had to be configured to use transmit audio from the USB cable. One config setting in the radio caused him to dump a perfectly good radio.
