I'm not sure if this is the right forum
On my new FTM-300 in VFO mode I tryed to enter the frequency 155.79000 and it changes it to 155.78750.
Can anybody explain this? do I need to unlock this frequency?

Thank you

Any idea how to create multiple memory banks?
No. That's a feature that Yaesu has left out of it's mobile radios for several models now even though their flagship handheld radios have flexible memory grouping.

A decision that's very hard to understand but this seems to be how it's going to be.

Yaesu also dropped the ability to "roll over" as you tune through the memory channels, i.e. once you hit the end you have to tune backwards to get to memory channel one.

Every single radio I've owned lets me roll over. In fact, my Kenwood TK-x90's lets me toggle the feature in the programming software.

Not sure what the thought process was for Yaesu's engineers for getting rid of this.

That's too bad.
Any idea why file open is grayed out in ADMS-12 programing software?
Picture is attached.

Yes, very dumb not having the roll over. Especially when you make a radio without multiple memory banks. My "All" banks has over 100 frequencies in it. When I need to get back frequencies lower in the bank I use the MIC keyboard. Much quicker than cycling back.

Yes, I've learned to do that as a workaround.

What's weird is my other Yaesu Fusion gear (FT-70D, FT5DR FTM-400DR) all roll over.

I, too, miss the availability of "banks" on the 300. I have the RT Systems software for it as well. On occasion, we travel out of town and when we do I'd like the 300 to only scan the frequencies along the route rather than all frequencies in the radio. I went ahead and put them in the radio, but with the software I made them "skip". So, if we take a trip, I can either make up a new frequency list with everything skipped except the route we're taking and upload it before we go, or I'll get another SD card and just swap it out pre-trip. I wonder how hard it would be for Yaesu to make an update for these radios and put in some sort of scan range (i.e., my trip will be channels 200-299) and you can select that range to scan only?

Yes the second SD card is what I did. I drive to Vegas from SW Mo and its just easier to create its own list and upload to radio. Quick and easy.

SD card swap is a great idea.
I have enough of them laying around to create separate memory banks.
Thank you

Anyone knows how to copy from memory to VFO?
I don't see it in the manual.
Thank you

Well with a mobile radio they need to keep the operation simple for those that are driving. Having memory banks and changing them while driving could lead to a disaster. IMHO. YMMV.
