Has anyone had success with a CAT 1000 controller on a Yaesu DR 2X? The DR 2X Fusion repeater with the factory controller and installed voice card is lacking in versatility as a in curtesy tone, Grandfather clock, etc. Looking for recommendations. 73

The Yaesu Fusion repeaters have been notoriously challenging to interface with external controllers. Not that it can't be done. Ken Arck at Arcomm Controllers has worked out an interface board for external controllers. His experience might help you. Arcom Controllers - Interface for DR-1x/DR2X

And, I gotta ask, you do know that CAT is out of business and there doesn't seem to be any support for CAT controllers anymore.

Yep, known for awhile they were out of business. However, our club has a fully functional 1000 that has the DVR and other goodies in it.

I understand. The club that I'm treasurer of has three CAT 300 DXLs in service plus two spares. I've informed the board that there's no more support, but we are kinda stuck.
