Gotta 2052 and yesterday "applied for membership" in the Yahoo PRO-2052 Users Group forum. Its been my experience with most forums, radio and others that I've joined, that you get a fast automated response acknowledging application and letting you know you're in. So far, I've heard nothing from the Yahoo group other than my application is "awaiting approval by the group owner," whoever that is. Anyone out there have a similar experience and, if so, any thoughts on how long is considered reasonable for approval? I'd like to get into the group ASAP. There are no "contact us" or other links on the group page I can ask these questions.

That's typical of Yahoo groups. You'll probably hear something in the next couple of days.

There are actually 2 Yahoo groups for the 2052; at least while you wait for one, you might be able to get on the other....

PRO2052 Yahoo group

PRO2052 Owners Yahoo group

George F. does tend to be a bit slow on getting an approval - I had to send him a private email to get on the Milaircommschat Yahoo group. Wait a couple of days, and if you still can't get in, fire him off a request.

Mike: Just finished registering with the PRO-2052 Yahoo Group. It was instantaneous and I'm in. FYI, it says on the home page that the group was created to replace the original PRO-2052 Owners Group started by George Fetter in 2000.

I'm the owner of Mile's first link (PRO-2052) and do not moderate nor require approval at this time. I usually check the board several times a day and have only banned a couple of spammers in several months. Hope to keep it open, but will get tight if needed.
