Yankton County

Due to limited coverage area with the pro-voice EDACS system, The Yankton County Sheriff is now using the state's digital system. The Yankton City PD is still using the EDACS pro-voice system, and is refusing to change over to the states system. The sheriff's Department is using Yankton Co SO 1 for dispatching and car to car traffic. I have not heard them use any of the other talk groups listed under Yankton County. The county units also have a pro-voice radio in the units for interoperabilty with the city units. Yankton PD units do not have the capibilty of transmitting on the states system.

I know and it really sucks that the city of Yankton dont switch over then I would be able to hear everthing. I guess if you have a system nobodyelse can hear there is a good reason for it
