Yaseau FT50 Problem

I have a FT50 that's about 10years old and now must press the "orange" ON button about 15 times to get it to come on....I have replaced the "PTT" button which broke so taking it apart is easy...Im wondering if the "on button" needs replacing or some "contact substance" on the print board is worn off....TY....

FT50 on-off button fixed with piece of foil over inside of button.....

I did the foil , I would like to have done the "pen' but did not know where to find one...The foil is a little touchy, turn "on' and some times turns off rite away, but its better than 15 pushes on the button....factory has no more parts....
