There is a test pilot training center there that those planes fly for.

Yes a lot of there planes show up at airshows
We have in Fort Erie one of these planes but it's on a pedestal in the park , can't fly this one.

They've a pedestal queen Winnipeg too.. It used to be silver with regular vintage air force markings, but they recently painted it up with the Red Night colors.

For many years I thought we in Fort Erie were the only ones who had one of these planes on a pedestal in the park, you learn something all the time.

The T-33 in the photo is owned by the Jet Aircraft Museum located at the London Airport. It does get leased to ITPS on occasion. ITPS has a large selection of aircraft.

Thanks for the memories. I have a handful of great hours to recall in the back seat of T-33s of the Iowa Air National Guard in the 1950s and 1960s, most spent taking photos of their mission at summer camps and training sessions. Ya' have to sit there to appreciate the skills of pilots and the real pleasures of flight!

Find and read "High Flight" penned by Flight Officer John G. MaGee, Jr. in WWII.
