Yeasu FT7900 Programing Software

I just got the programing software for the ft7900r and I was wondering about the rx only, I was putting in a public saftey frequency and it was asking for a tx frequency, I know this will not tx without the mod which is exactley what I was wanting it to do recieve only. Thanks

Just program the same frequency in the TX field. The radio wont allow it to transmit so their are no issues with it being there. Have you tried leaving it blank. It may not even need to be there.

You may also be able to program the frequency with no offset or as simplex - defaulting the TX/RX frequency as the same.

You can't leave it blank... Has to be a simplex or offset.

Just put the same frequency for transmit and receive. That's why i don't like the software Yaesu has for them. I use G4HFQ software for them. It just fills in the transmit depending on what you select for offset, +/- or simplex.
