Hello all. My name is Mike and i am a memeber of our local Cert( community emergency response team). If anyone knows anything about CERT, you know the concepts, however our team does a little more then the standard of other CERT's. Before becoming a member i was always interesting in emergency opperations, and monitored the local frequencies. Being our CERT team is affiliated with our Office of Emergency Managment, we are available to a wider span then just the township. One neighboring town has been on the APCO 25 digital system for a few years, and beign they were the only ones, i purchased a new uniden scanner, BR330T, about two years ago, non digital being they were the only ones. Now as of sometime this summer, this township will be all digital, soooooooo I was referred to this forum, the site i use for the frequency database, so i can learn more baout this APCO25 and see if anyone on here knows where i can get a digital scanner at a better price then $500!!!!!! I dont see myself as a novice but no where near a pro with scanning and all. So just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. see you all in the forum!
