OK, two questions that I'm embarrassed to ask cuz I'm sure the answers lie somewhere in the manual and I've overlooked them about a dozen times by now

Anyway... it seems you can mix conventional and some flavor of trunking in the same bank. But can mix two different trunking groups (but both Motorola) in the same bank?

Second question: is there a "quick and dirty" way of programming talk group IDs? That is, how should I organize the (sub-)banks? See Fayette County, Pennsylvania and you'll see why I'm asking ;)

No reason to be embarrassed for not having the manual memorized. We can take care of that...see my next answer.

Yes you can, but that is a qualified yes. This has been discussed too many times on this board, indeed in this fourm. Do a search (see link above.) Now you can be embarrassed!

There really isn't any quick & dirty way to organize as everyone listens a little differently. We each have our own priorities; however, thanks for pointing out the system. It was in dire need of some organization, which I took care of. Now if a local or regional admin will just look it over to see if that makes more sense then a single "All" group... 8)
