question...i just bought the pro 106 and uploaded york county pa and havent heard anything. I programmed it with win500. I had the same issue with my p96 radio and had to adjust the tables. Do i need to do the same with this radio? thanks.

You don't need to adjust the tables with the 106. It should work fine if you just download it from RR.

This...

York is the one system that always worked on my GRE scanners without any tweaking. Dauphin, however, was another story...LOL.

I have a Radio Shack Pro-97 and Pro-2051. Are these compatible with the York County system for listening to City of York police? I am a chaplain for YCPD and want to keep tabs on what is happening when not on duty but only radio we have is in chaplain's vehicle.

Neither is a digital scanner so they will not work with York.

Chaplin Tom has a portable.. Why not you?..

As I understand it Chaplain Tom is on call pretty much 24/7 for several county departments including one of the largest Regionals.

City has a group of Chaplains who are on call 2 - 4 days per month. The City can't afford take-home portables for every Chaplain.

I am looking into the same scanner, was told RS on Loucks Rd may be able to offer a clone program for the digital trunking frequencies used by York Co. You would need to call them (or just go there) with a CAT number to see if it is compatible with the base system they use as they said they can do 'some' scanners that are not from RS.

Went there today and they can clone the ones that use a 3.5mm jack. Mine has a small two or four pin adapter that plugs into the side.

That stinks! Guess there's no adapter that can successfully be used? (will research)
With this new information I reckon I will also continue to pursue upgrading my membership here so I can access the downloadable programming software offered, the stated rate is very reasonable, imo.

So I finally broke down and paid the $37 for the adapter cable at tye Shack and upgraded my RR subscription and finally got it programmed!

Right on! Hey this cable wouldn't by any chance be a USB PC Interface would it? I ask because the seller where I am planning on getting my sons scanner offers this cable for a little over 20 bucks.
