Not a ton to speak of. The system is in normal operation and there have been few issues.
There is a 2017 timeline set for the upgrade to 700mhz Phase II but there isn't much chatter about details. And very little information (actually, none) has been shared to subscriber agencies regarding the need for subscriber equipment replacement.
I placed a trouble ticket for a barrage of CC Scan and Band Scan occurrences late last summer/early spring. The tech that came out, after explaining to me that tropo skip from a co-channel TV transmitter somewhere to the east was inundating the control channel's ability to stay connected with the radios, also told me that the existing tower footprint for UHF-T will be completely insufficient for 700mhz implementation. So adding and replacing towers will almost certainly be needed.
That said, with 2017 less than two years out, I've heard nothing of physical actions toward the upgrade.
