York County PD Change??

I have noticed recently 24 units (Hanover PD according to the York DES website) on North PD Dispatch. Anyone know what's up with this? Has the number been reassigned to another department? Has Hanover been moved to North (which wouldn't make much sense)?

There have been reports of lots of patching going on due to a lack of dispatchers. This is the likely reason your seeing this.. IDK for sure, but this seems to be the most plausible reason.. Probably not a change in the assignment, but a pooling of available resources..

Police North and Police South are patched almost always. As mentioned, this is due to both a lack of dispatch staff, but also because of the relatively small amount to resources using each talk group since the disbandment of Southwest Regional PD.

As a new set of police coverage contracts is pending throughout the county, the assignment of units to radio talk groups could get interesting.
