I can hear digital and analog traffic with Id's 009xx to 60848 but it's weak from my location, to weak to scan. Anyone on the Peninsula copy anything? Tonight it sounds like 867.7750 may be the CC, but no data on line 4 of my Pro-96 for support.

Frank,

I live in Hampton and I have a Pro-96.

Do you have the York Co. freqs, and do I have to do anything exotic with the Pro-96 to listen for talkgroups?

Thanks Frank.

Three years and 8 months and I'll be retired and then retired again.

USAF and then the City of Hampton.

Retired with 22 years US Navy, retired (again) VSRS with 4 years Bruton High School (near kg4rgn) and 14 years Tabb High School (near Langley). I had those two retirements for 5 years then retired (again) with SS 5 years ago. My bride of 44 years also gets SS.

And we are both grateful for those serving in the Military, Law enforcement and Fire/EMS today.

Observed System Technical Data
This morning 12/12/04, I noted on my Pro-96 while manually on frequency 868.7750, a control channel noise with line 4 rotating as follows
96:T0101 00-88%
96:BEE00 00-88%
96:SY509 00-98%
The CC noise is faint and the high % numbers are quick so I may be to far away to receive will.

Line 4 Sys data alternately changed with no set pattern, 2 sec to 12 sec.

It appears this will be a 9600b digital system--the first in our area--and the system ID will be 509.

Also, 867.7750 has a faint CC/digital noise with line 4 indicating
96: ----- 00%

With a week signal I seem out of range for Pro96Com, because the display remains on
V-Scanner
PC/IF Port
Remote Acces (this line does not change to***IN USE***)
CLR to EXIT

Anyone on the Peninsula with a Pro-96, please try to collect data with Pro96Com.

BTW, the signal on 868.7750 is stronger in my dining room, so my next step is to copy Pro96Com to my Laptop.

Will advise.
