YORK, Pa. — About five years after York County completed a $44 million overhaul of its 911 radio communications system, county commissioners on Wednesday committed to spending another $25 million to make a frequency change that was mandated by the federal government a few years after the county finished its project.

This was very predictable and the reason I was shocked the Harford County decided to replace all their radios with 800/UHF APX units. If they had held off and gone with 800/VHF they would be positioned to work with York after their move to 700 and Cecil after they migrate to P25.
