I'm here a lot
It would actually make a nice addition as a Related Link on the
bottom of the York Region Trunk page (Sys id 3419).
I'm sure it would be appreciated by those monitoring this system.

That would be a good place for it. I'm fairly new in here can you point me in the direction of getting it put there? So much to see here, so little time :)

york region 10 codes

I think you got most of them right. But when i listen to the scanner 10-6 seems to mean "on scene" or arived on location.

Thanks for posting the list, its very usefull.

Re: york region 10 codes

Just depends who in the department is using 10-6. Some old timers use it more than the newbies. Just like other departments, this is their "official list"--the one that everybody carries when a clever dispatcher starts rambling on using only codes thinking nobody will figure out what they're talking about. Another altered one that is used is 10-92 arrest or prisoner (instead of transport). Guess it should be distributed with a "meanings subject to change without warning" clause. :)

Glad you found it useful though.

In that context it's usually given as a unit arrives on scene and goes "busy" at the scene.

Some just say "10-6" while others will say "10-6 at scene".

A lot of times you will hear a dispatcher ask a unit if he is 10-6 or whether they can dispatch them on another call.
