83 and 89.
I'm hearing some activity on these tgs. It was just by accident that I hit the wrong button and started to scan 'freely'. Anyway I'm hearing 2 district units and i thought i heard air 2 as well.

but if you want some good listening check out YRP special 1 and 2 tonite. some funny things to be heard.

The actual talk group is 80

This is why you think are seeing new talk groups

Type II Smartnet systems use these status bits for special transmissions such as Emergency, Patches...etc.

80+0 Normal Talkgroup
80+3 talkgroup patch to another
80+9 DES All Talkgroup

For a detailed explanation go to the link found on the Home page
of RadioReference entitled On line Content (in the Trunking Information Section) and see the section on Type II system special status bits (halfway down the page)
Once you are aware of what they are, it's pretty cool to see this extra bit of info you radio is providing.
