Hello Everyone,

I'm driving through Yukon & British Columbia and I would like to know what frequency ranges (mainly for Public Safety i.e. Fire & Police) can I program on my radio to search for activity during the trip. I know the U.S. frequency allocations but haven't found good information on how the spectrum is allocated in Canada. Any help is appreciated!

I'm here a lot
Yukon and BC

So far no one from the region has responded.
As far as I know there is no 800 Mhz public safety in Yukon.
Try the 140's 150's and 410 to 420 range.
BC must have some members on this site with reliable info
and links.

So, I see(from your location) you'll be driving southbound !!

For Northern British Columbia you may wish to check out www.scanbc.com. There's really no listings there, but there is a discussion board where you'll likely find some answers.

Good Luck!

Thank you so much everybody, that info sure got me a good start in becoming familiar with Canada's frequencies!
Again, thanks!

Several years ago, Yellowknife Police was on 142.875 MHz and they had a few others they were using.
