I need to have a MVT-8000 repaired anyone know of a place stateside to have this done? I could also use a manual (copy is OK) for it.

MVT7100 manuals (as images and other people's simplified versions) are available online from various sources. The 8000 was the base/mobile version of the 7100 and control of it is pretty much the same. Can't halp with a US repair shop but any reputable radio dealer should be able to point you to someone reasonbably local.
Thanks for the info on the 7100 and similarities with the 8000. I will hook up with a manual for one of them
