ZDC 59 Sea Isle Hand Off

Hello. Very new to the hobby, actually returning due to current NJ lockdown. ZDC59 Sea Isle keeps handing off to 135.8 which I assume is ZNY but cant seem to find that freq listed in ZNY. I don't see it listed in ZBC either. Trying to teach myself and want to make sure I am looking in the proper places for info.

135.8 is listed as a Boston Center (ZBW) frequency transmitted from the Calverton, NY RCAG on the northern shore, eastern part of Long Island

Just an educated guess here..but heard that some ZNY Center sectors were closed the other day and often times in this scenario the airspace is divided up. Boston Center probably took over the airspace you are inquiring about. Should have returned to normal a few hours later.

Yes! On the 21st New York Center went ATC-0 due to staffing issues. There is a map of facilities with COVID-19 on Reddit. Note: that these facilities are not necessarily closed, they just have confirmed cases.

Las Vegas Tower is still closed as well. So that airport is being treated as an uncontrolled airfield.
