Thanks for sharing your catches. I hope you had at least one day in Zion without all the rain.

I thought I long ago contributed Zion NP info to the DB, but all I see there is the old analog stuff. I'm glad you basically found things with your 996XT & I'll submit accurate data to the DB.

168.350 P25 NAC636 NPS Zion National Park tunnel ops, simplex. Used between east & west tunnel posts to coordinate one-way traffic closures for oversized vehicles, etc. Freq is also USG common & USFS Smoke-jumper Tac using 123.0 CTCSS. With 167.9Hz CTCSS, “623” base station has been heard communicating with “Fire ##” units. One unit advised he was 10 minutes out of Flagstaff.

152.285 218.1Hz Zion National Park shuttle bus repeater. Licensed to Parks Transportation, Inc. Input should be 157.545MHz

172.6125 NAC636 & 156.7Hz NPS Zion National Park main Ops channel. “West Temple” repeater plus simplex. Use is mostly P-25 but also occasionally analog. Rptr input is 166.0875/131.8Hz. Callsign KOJ-770.

163.175 NAC 636 & 114.8Hz Input to 169.7125/NAC 636 & 156.7Hz NPS Zion NP LE repeater.

Can you confirm you meant to write "165.2875?" It's a national BATF channel, not usually busy in or around the Zion NP area.

165.2875 was the frq and was carrying same traffic as 163.1750 for about two days.
Yes it did rain but had fun any how.

165.2875 would be BATFE, could be an image [being so close] but w/o a NAC we can't help, but only Speculate

Last time I was at Zion, P25 digital was loud and clear on my PSR-500. Perhaps you were in a bad location or obstructed from the signal?

Well the tunnel as i said was bad. I was in the car about 20 feet from the xmiter then later about
a mile no audio change. This was from two different radios (996xt and 396xt) Maybe I should by a new radio!!! LOL
