Not sure if anyone is in the region, but I've had an opportunity come up to place a trunk-recorder box in Sudbury to get some Zone 3 coverage. I was wondering what you hear off the Sudbury FleetNet tower?

Are you able to DM me? I’m sort of in that area (Zone 3 anyway).
Why DM you? I was just wondering if you hear the Southern Zone 3 and North Bay area from the talkgroups in Sudbury. Wasn't asking for some classified info.

Just trying to figure out best coverage location.

I hear all of Algoma Northeast zone. Was just interested in what you might have been trying to achieve and if I could maybe help out. I was going to jump and say where I actually was but didn’t want to put it on the forum No DM

Hi there:

As far as the tower located within Sudbury city?
You will hear the city EMS channel, CACC channel for rural units bringing transfers to HSN once they hit city limits, and the tac used for patches.
When it comes to OPP, you will always hear the tg with Sudbury (November) and North Bay (India) units, as well as associated MTO enforcement and tacs, if in use and close enough.

Sometimes East Algoma and Manitoulin units are broadcast, but only if a car is in range of the tower or Comm ctr has them patched in during short-staffing or some overnights.

MTO patrols 12 and 13 are always available.

MNR officers are hit and miss; can usually only hear them if one is operating Sudbury local or working from the Suds office.

Hope this helps.

That helps, I was wondering if I needed another box in North Bay to get that area but it seems this will do quite nicely. When I get it up and running I will provide you all links. It will be on Broadcastify calls as well.

Nice! Glad to hear about the eventual availability on Broadcastify calls. Yep, North Bay units are always affiliated to the Sudbury site, since they share a dispatcher with November units.

Just working out the bugs with the person who is hosting it for me. Analog is weak, but digital seems fine. The antenna will be relocated to a better spot.

Still waiting for Broadcastify Approval but you can listen off my system Rdio Scanner and use the access code of zone3

Its populating TGs as it sees them. Is 3OPS20 the combined North Bay and Sudbury TG?

And now on Broadcastify Calls too Node 2369: Bell FleetNet Ontario Provincial Government Zone 3 (Site: Sudbury) - Live

Kind of curious what my BCD436HP could pick up in the Sault area when I take a casino trip.
