Zone 3 Talkgroups

As Zone 3 grows slowly, who else has been logging TG's ?

Ive been using Mtrunker , and see alot of TG's come alive with no voice...I do hear radio techs daily / nightly talking...Im thinking they are still setting up Zone 3 for MOH / MNR and some MTO .

I have some others, I could not find those in zone 1 or 2 databse...Im sorry Im rushed today and perhaps posted 2 TG allready in the system under Zone 1 - 2...Ill post my week long loggings...Ive dedicated a scanner - PC to Unitrunker and MTrunker32.

Well, sometimes a radio will affiliate to a particular talkgroup without transmitting on it. This will show up in a trunker log and will add the talkgroup (if new) to the xxxxgrp.txt file, but you're correct...the talkgroup wasn't *actually* in use. Could be someone is just flipping through the channels and folders on their newfangled radio...

It may be time for a stickied thread for unidentified talkgroups in Zone 3. I guess, technically speaking, most of the talkgroups are unidentified at this point...but it's probably handy nonetheless.

JELLOTOR : Good idea...here is a few more TG I found , again , they might be Zone 1 - 2 database..but Im rushed today.

Just a snip of the log , Ive dedicated a scanner - PC to Log this stuff...many times I was not home , so I dont know if voice was ever heard on some...a few I did see...you get the AF to TG ...then nothing...no voice , no keyups.

You may also want to set up a PC to do voice activated audio recording as well. Someone mentioned the program Xcorder as a good tool for that job...it might help you determine which users are on which talkgroups without actually having to sit in front of a scanner all day.

yep was added...dunno why my Bc296D showed this TG as *new* , ahh well...least we know the MNR is alive n well on Zone 3..some talk of , " Night Ops "....guess hunting season is soon...and sting ops are sure to happen as they do every yr up here in the great White North..they did comment on how nice the new radios are : -)

" all was heard was TESTING 1 2 3 " with OPP COMM Centre replying to the test..

My guess...MOH maybe ?

Perhaps. Perhaps not. 38xxx talkgroups are MTO crews and patrols in Zone 1 and that's getting close to the Ministry of Corrections range in the 39xxx area. Are you sure you heard the OPP comm centre replying? Was it a digital talkgroup?

Zone 3 's Traffic today is BUSY...MSEL'S times 3...maybe training ?

TG Ive never seen....Im logging to Mtrunker...

As for that Program to record...the download button worked, however something about the file no longer avail...could VERY well be some prob on my end..lord knows my ISP has been on crack as of late.

But the TG activity today is more than normal !

Ill put together my LOG list and PM it to ya...you can take a look...many I know will be in zone 1 or 2 ...but 38160 ??

yes, the same female at the comm centered replied.
As for Correctiosn out jail , a small District Jail uses UHF which I added on the Sudbury Site :

TG : 38848 is alive with tachs talking!

They use TG 16....lots of affiliations to TG 38848 as well today.
