Hey guys.

I've owned a BC92XLT for about 5 years now, I've educated myself with basic knowledge needed for scanning and I feel I've mastered this handheld, I am now looking for something new to grasp! I've noticed the sensitivity is becoming an issue with my model with intermittent transmissions becoming the norm now, no matter what the signal strength seems to be

Im looking at a budget of around £200 and it needs to be a mobile unit as I often go out and about with it.

Any advice you can give will be greatly appreciated!

intermitent reception

if the audio breaks up it could be a bad center connecter on the antenna or a broken connection from the jack to the board in the radio.

I've had two of these units over the years and both of them suffered with the same problem so I put it down to poor sensitivity.

I've just bought a Watson 901, as I mainly listen to air band,to see if this improved and I'm still having the same problem, I've got an 881 on the way but I'm doubting it will have an effect to be honest.

I'm looking at the 3500xlt as my next purchase I think!
