I have not experienced the hiss issue but if it is prominent I would like to get that issue resolved. Please contact me and we can try to figure it out and fix it.

It's not prominent unless your up close to the speaker in a silent room. Not an issue with mine.

Although, I do think that Unication should grandfather us on the warranty. From 2 years to 5 years, automatically. Especially, with known issues around.
I also have the white noise or hissing noise

Only noticeable in a quiet room at low volumes.
I have a second G4 at work that i keep turned down but its primary function is recording.
Boss noticed it right away when his 2 G5 units arrived. But we ordered 12 more so apparently its not a huge issue.

I too have the hissing white noise on my G4 particularly noticeable at low volume.

As "blue collar" as it sounds, I placed a small piece of cellophane tape over the speaker and it minimizes it without compromising the audio quality. Admittedly, not an ideal solution for a $565 piece of equipment, but it solves the problem until Unication can address it.

For me it's a minor annoyance for an otherwise outstanding radio with which I can ACTUALLY HEAR simulcast systems!

Def noticed it a low volumes almost like the carrier is a higher volume than the voice, but with the phase 2 simulcast performance Iím getting it doesnít bother me, also noticed it more on some TGs over others, higher volume donít hear it
