I have the bcd436 hp. I'm considering getting the 536. Does it work like the old bc210. where it was pulled in and would run with the back light on all the time.

I don't know what you mean by "pulled in" but my 536 is on 24/7/365 with the back light on.

It died after about a year so you couldn't read it, it was so dim.

Sent in for the program to have this fixed for free a year or so ago. It's been bright and solid ever since.
