Jon, I jumped the gun with my original post today. I did just as you suggested and learned stock will arrive this week (Friday) or (Monday). I 'm just getting impatient hearing all these great reports and not having one. Thanks for your support.

After the previous snafus/mix ups with actual in-stock inventory status, Zip Scanners has definitively stated that if it says "in stock; ready to ship" on their website it is accurate at that point in time.

Thanks for the link to Uniden Outlet Store. After my experience with zip, I wouldn't consider doing business with them again. I placed a backorder through Universal Radio last week and it is still out of stock. I will call them tomorrow to cancel.

Sure looks like the wrong one, but an out of focus photo my be wrong.


It needs to terminate with a mini-usb, same as your SDS power /data cable.

That cable is for connecting to a BCD996T, BCD396T, BCD996XT, BCD396XT, or BCD436HP. It is included with the BC-GPSK.

The GPS cable that you need for your SDS100 is the Uniden BC-UTGC cable. (BTW that same cable also works with the BCD325P2.) Here's a link to it "direct from the horse's mouth" on the Uniden website: https://www.uniden.com/shop/communication/gps-usb-cable/

For some reason Zip Scanners has 2 different web pages on their website for the same GPS cable. One web page has it listed for use with the BCD325P2 and another web page has it listed for use with the SDS100.

The thing that may have you scratching your head is that on both of those web pages it clearly states "Availability: In stock" BUT on the SDS100 GPS cable web page it also clearly states "Out of stock till early Aug." Make of that what you want.

Both pages are picturing the USB-1, which works with neither scanner...so confusing. I messaged them about it.
