Sentinel, can not update RR database

Please Help! I have repeatedly try to update my HPDB on my Homepatrol & BCDx36HP Sentinel program with no success. I keep getting a error message " Operation Failed, Unable to connect to remote server". I have even reinstalled both programs with still no success. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated at this time. thanks!

Sounds like your firewall, router, or ISP may have FTP ports blocked.

That error message says that the application cannot get to the internet. It is not an application fault. You are not online or your system or firewall is preventing the application from reaching the internet.

Cannot update database via BCDx36HP Sentinel

Hope its OK to revive this old thread 'cause I am now having this problem.

Cannot connect to remote server. Or, Operation has timed out.

I have tried three different internet connections.

1. Whoever we use at work via the company wifi network. Always worked before.
2. Hotpot via T-Mobile on an iPad.
3. Hotspot via ATT on an iPhone.

I will try at home later.

Any other ideas about why this may be happening?

We had some server issues between 8AM and 10AM CDT, during which time update services were unavailable. It is back up, now.
