I was experimenting with my 436 on the TGID's....is there somewhere that lists the TGID's for systems or do I have to guess from what I hear as to what the unit is that's transmitting?

Begs the question - how did you program your radio?

... and just to confirm - do you mean TGIDs (talkgroups) or RIDs (radio IDs)?

Most of the talkgroups for given systems will be listed in the database. However, in "ID Search" mode, you will see TGIDs that are not listed in the database or were omitted/removed from a given system in your programming.

You may also see what are known as "private call" identifiers I believe. These are no "talkgroups" but rather individual radios (IDs) talking directly to one another.

Which system? Can you provide a couple of talkgroup IDs you are seeing for that systems that are not identified?
