I too would like to see MDC decode on the BCDx36HP series. There's a local PD West of me that's still analog, and uses MDC.

MDC is not the only burst identifier protocol out there. There are also GEStar, FleetSync and plain old DTMF, to name a few.

The Unication G5 will decode MDC1200 (although apparently not in Hex on conventional analog) and the wildcard setting on the site id for a talkgroup will give you the site info while scanning.

I know this is a uniden forum, but the fact that Unication can successfully do these things as well as blow both Whistler and Uniden out of the water on LSM reception just proves that it can be done, within both the form fctor and firmware limitations. If Unication ever smartens up and starts making actual scanners, they would force the other two to step up an provide the things the customer asked for.

I'd like to be able to remotely use Siren with my 536 without having to set up a VPN....wait, wasn't that part of the x36 rollout video as coming soon?
