BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Changing custom service types in Sentinel

Is there any way to label one of the custom service types to whatever you need? I haven't found a way yet. It would be so nice to be able to have a service type of Maritime, Casino, and Unknown. I know there is an "Other" service type, but everything is thrown in there and all you get is the garbage stuff. If you can't change just the custom 1 thru custom 8 types, I sure hope that will be a future change in a new sentinel update.

You can't rename any service type, custom or otherwise. You have to remember what use you assigned Custom 1 or Custom 5 or whatever.

Did you try to edit them?

In version 08 the custom service types start at hex 248E09

I have edited the file for you and you can edit more texts if you want to. Put the file in the Uniden/BCDx36HP folder and click on it, or create a shortcut to it, to start using it.
