First, UPman nor anyone else is going to pay for anything that YOU did to your scanner.

Second, it has been said many, many times NOT TO CHARGE BATTERIES IN THE SCANNERS.

You need to read, read, and READ before just jumping at the gun to blame folks.

As long as your scanner is not damaged then go get some new batteries and play with the scanner.

If the scanner is damaged, then you are SOL and need to start saving your pennies for another scanner.

I don't have either of the scanners that Jake has, but does Uniden expressly prohibit in-scanner charging?
