Question Uniden repair

Instead of folks looking deep in the archives, I figured I would start this thread for real time updates

1st time user of the repair service, ( Yes I have read all of the stories positive & negative)

My 436 was dropped & the antenna connector snapped off

Per repair site, $79.99 for repair

UPS store box & shipping by ground $16.71

Sent out yesterday from Hartford CT, Supposedly will arrive in Texas no later Than 1-18-18

If there is anyone out in the RR community That can enlighten me as to their recent experiences with the Uniden repair service, it would be much appreciated

TIA

You couldn't bother to browse the Repair Campaign sticky in the Tech Support subforum? It has dozens of Uniden repair experience posts, no digging deep into the archives required.

When not around holidays or other heavy shipping times 2-3 weeks you should have it back.

Thanks mark smith & hulca

Its good to hear different reports of RECENT repair send ins etc. instead of condescending comments from certain jwfolks talking down to people trying to pump up their own personal send in business

I do some mods, but not general scanner repairs. And there are several recent Uniden repair experience posts in the thread I mentioned, easily accessible without digging or searching.

My 436 scanner should ship out on 2/20.

I checked the repair status and nothing has changed since the day Uniden received it.

Hoping all is well and on time!

Stay tuned......

I have a radio received 1/23/18 by Uniden with an expected ship date of today. Still no change of status other than received.

Thumbs down

Hulca

Still showing as "open" as of today

Unless there is a major backlog issue on their end, Its only a broken antenna connector 4 me, this is not acceptable

No knock against the repair techs, uniden probably does not have enough of them to handle the work load

typical corporate treatment of their customers, overpromise & under deliver

off to work

Seems nothing has gotten better since last year when I got my scanner fixed. I was debating getting a third p25 scanner in future since the county I live is switch to p25 II system next year. The state also switching to such a system.

Was debating a base station. Even looked at the 536hp but Seeing that the repair are still crap, I think I might go with whistler for the next scanner.

I sent in a scanner to Uniden about 2 years ago to be repaired under warranty. Took about 6 weeks if I recall correctly.
