ive been using batterys in my scanner and was wondering how low they have to be to effect recieving. im down to 3.5 volts and still sounds good. im shopping for rechargables . thank you

Low batteries will never affect the reception. When they die the scanner will shut down.

The scanner allows you to set the shutdown battery voltage in the menu. Set it to the minimum, 3100 millivolts. It has internal voltage regulators that keep all internal components fed with consistent power until the scanner shuts off.
