UBC125 not working with Mac Bearcat

Hi I have just bought a UBC125XLT and I have downloaded Mac Bearcat on MacBook Air 2015 and I have installed all the recommend drivers then when I plugged my scanner in and launched the software it said not plugged in / Turned On but its on and plugged in I have read through lots of forums and can't come up with an answer please help any answer will be greatly appreciated
