P25 Phase 1 and 2 programming

I have loaded a new P25 phase II system and I understand that phase II using tdma. Sentinal loads it as a P25 Trunk System and I noticed that ARC536 gives more options. It defaults to “P25 standard” but I notice that one of the options is”P25 X2 TDMA.” Would that me a more accurate setting to use or does the 536 figure that out on its own?

X2 TDMA is a different form of phase 2 proprietary to motorola and was used in the early days of phase 2, I'm not sure how often it is used these days. Actual p25 phase 2 works off of the P25 trunking standard so you should program your system in as a p25 system and it will pull in the phase 2 traffic along with the phase 1 traffic as well.

We talked about X2 TDMA in another thread in the last few days. X2 TDMA is not found much anymore and we believe setting the configuration to P25 Trunk, P25 Standard, or X2 TDMA really is the same thing at this point.
