SDS100 Port opposite of the Charging Port

Been searching for information regarding the port opposite the charging port on the SDS100 and I'm sure its been covered but I can't find it, for that I apologize.

Has it been announced what this port is for or not?

Just wondering.

You can, however, use it to power (not charge) the scanner.

USB2 should be backwards compatible with a USB1 port. Looking at the charger that came with the scanner - it's rated for 2A at 5V, so the port is definitely some kind of hybrid.

Yes, the bottom port labeled USB2.

My SDS100 says "CHARGE" and has a arrow.


EDIT: N/M. Its on the outside rubber connection protector.

I must not be very observant.
