The opening message is way to fast to read if someone tried to read it (about 1 second). Is there a way to change the duration on this opening message?

I can't find a way to do that in Sentinel.
It probably could via firmware update, though I'm sure it is a "fixed" time. There probably would be some different opinions on the specific duration and not a clear "mandate". So I suspect Uniden may not be open to this prospect, being honest.
