Question bcd436 hp gps

gents has anyone had any issues with there gps hookup. i can,t seem to get mine to work again, it did work and then it quit. i had a problem awhile ago and ended up changing the gps cable and it worked, so this time ii bought a new gps cable and still won,t work. the plug for the gps puck it,s red light is on so am assuming there is power to the puck. also the gps plug does not seem to fit that snug in the socket on the radio . any suggestions.

The sockets are bad for coming lose from the system board.

I think that member jonwienke still does internal gps modifications. He modded both my 536 and 436 and I have been very pleased.

Not unless they allow that in Federal Prison. JW is currently ... indisposed.

The Jon Wienke who was arrested in Washington DC on firearms charges is from West Virginia, according to the articles I read. The Jon Wienke who does Uniden scanner mods lives in Pennsylvania. Same Jon Wienke? He used to be a prolific poster to this forum, but I see that his last post was August 23rd, 2018.

OOOOOK, after doing a bit more research, yep, same JW. Too bad. Some toys just shouldn't be for home manufacture.
