BCT15 Tone Out

Hello,

I just purchased a BCT15 and I am trying to get the tone out feature to work.

I have a working minitor II with two reed chips. The slot farthest from the speaker is LZ 794.3 Hz, the middle slot has MZ 881.0 Hz and the slot closest to the speaker is empty.

I have setup 2 tone outs on the scanner to figure out the correct order.

One with tone a @794.3 and tone b @881.0 and another with the tones reversed.

When my department gets toned out the scanner does not pick up the tones but the pager does.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I do have the scanner set to tone out standby and the tones and frequencies are correct.

You do have the frequencies set for both of your tone sets? Also have you picked an alert? Also try setting the delay to infinte that way you do know if it did work.

Make sure the BC-15 frequency's MODE is set to "FM". If it is set to Auto or NFM it will not decode as reliably as it will in plain old "FM".
