BC-148XLT update
Hi,
The BC-148XLT came in two models. A 16 Channel/10 Band model and a 20 Channel/10 Band model. If yours has the red 2-Digit L.E.D. (display) then it is indeed the 16 channel model which covers 10M amateur(29.0-29.7MHz), Low Bands(29.7-50.0MHz), 6M amateur(50.0-54.0MHz), Military Land(137-144MHz), 2M amateur(144-148MHz), VHF High bands(148-174MHz) in 5k steps & Federal(406-420MHz), 70cm amateur(420-450MHz), UHF(450-470MHz), UHF-T(470-512MHz) in 12.5k steps, along with Weather Channels.
start by adjusting your volume and squelch, then to program press the manual key, then using the numeric keys press the channel number you wish to program, then press the manual key again, then type in the frequency using the numbers and decimal keys, then press the "E" key to complete. repeat for other channels. then press scan to begin scanning.
Example:
To program channel 12 to 450.150 MHz:
Press "MANUAL" key
Press "1" key then the "2" key
Press "MANUAL" key again
Type "4" key, then "5" key, then "0" key. then "." key, then "1" key, then "5" key, then "0" key
Press "E" key to complete
