Uniden BC 855 XLT

Hello to all. I have an old Bearcat. In the past, I have programmed it with local police and fire codes. Now, I have programmed it again with the frequencies listed on this site, but I get nothing but static.

Most of the frequencies are in the 152 or 452 (lower end) range. I have not heard a single police transmission or fire call,EMS call, nothing! Am I doing something wrong or is there a different band of frequencies that are being used?

The only thing I have heard is some chatter from the local power plant guys. They are also on the 452 range.

Do some homework - look in our database (see the top dark blue toolbar) for your area. Chances are good they've moved to a trunk system. Get on the Michigan forum and ask what folks are using there to hear the system, if indeed they have moved
