I'm totally bewildered

I've done a fair amount of searching and I can't find the answer to what I'd like to do. I live in Chatham Mass and I'd like to program my bc246 to receive just Chatham pd and fd. I have the talkgroups and I know it's motorola type 2. I can't see how to put this info in to my scanner, Thanks in advance for your help.

NO MSP Has not rebanded, you need Massachusetts State Police Trunking System, Statewide, Massachusetts - Scanner Frequencies ,either Site 06 or 04

Yeah, and then follow the directions on the "Easy to Read Manual" in this section. You only need the control channels.

I would recommend using Freescan programming software. Program just one trunking system, Motorola Type 2/P-25. Enter the following 2 frequencies for your control channels, 860.2375 and 860.2125. Be sure to set it to control channel only in the software. Then program in the 2 talkgroups you want to monitor;

Chatham Fire - 37360

Chatham Police - 38192

If you still have problems, at least download the software I mentioned above (it's free), and I can send you a complete file for Cape Cod, then you can just lock out or delete the talkgroups you do NOT wish to monitor.
